Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation
You might not be familiar with this yet, but medical professionals can see how ECMO (or Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) is being used more frequently than ever. ECMO has also urged new advances in technology to offer better options to those in need.
It can be defined as an extracorporeal technique that is used for delivering prolonged cardiac as well as respiratory support to people who happen to be experiencing heart and/or lung problems. The heart and lungs of such individuals are unable to deliver the required amount of gas exchange that is necessary for maintaining life.
While in the beginning, ECMO was commonly used in children, with time, it has also begun being used for adult cases too, to treat respiratory and cardiac failure. That is why the need of ECMO, along with related technology and experienced professionals is increasing.
At Vivacity Perfusion, we tend to use some of the most advanced technologies available to offer the best ECMO health care that patients deserve. Our team is also involved in researching new devices in hopes to meet the current boom that the medical field is experiencing. We plan to be on the forefront to help hospitals become safer, stable, and more efficient when it comes to treating and supporting patients in need.
